Armed with only a 100-400mm telephoto lens I capture a Canadian bald eagle attempting to steal food right from the mouth of a cheeky river otter, but who is the fastest? After this epic battle for survival I decide to devote the next week to capturing this story of endurance not just for the wildlife but for myself. Standing on the ice day after day requires tolerating some discomfort but luckily my neighbours are there with a hot coffee and a cheese plate. Maybe this wildlife photography lark isn't so bad after all. By Day 5 the ice becomes a hotspot of activity with multiple eagles divebombing the grappling river otters as they dine on helpless eels and fish.
