Struggling With Photography Compositions? Here’s What I Did

Join me and my friend Brian Barnham on a camping trip to Gabriola Island, just off the coast of Nanaimo, BC. Our plan was to photograph the island’s famous sandstone rock formations, but things didn’t go as expected. Despite the beautiful textures and patterns, both of us struggled to find compelling compositions. Rather than come away empty-handed, I decided to shift gears. To work through the creative block, I focused on creating a small series of close-up images, mainly of tree details and textures found around the area. Sometimes, all it takes is a change in perspective to get the creativity flowing again. Gear Used: – Fujifilm GFX 100S – FLM Tripod + Geared Head – Kase Magnetic Filters Thanks for watching—and if you’ve ever hit a wall with your photography, I’d love to hear how you got through it in the comments below.
