In this video, I create fine art minimalist photographs of an old English shipwreck, sharing a behind-the-scenes look at my creative process from start to finish. Earlier this week, I headed out on a short road trip to the south-east of England with one clear goal: to focus purely on minimalist and fine art landscape photography. The trip resulted in two vlogs, and this video is the first of the series. This shipwreck was the perfect subject for minimalist photography, allowing me to strip the scene back to simple shapes, tones, and mood. As always, I take you behind the scenes to show how I see a location, how I simplify a composition, and how I approach creating fine art landscape images in the field. If you’re interested in minimalist photography, fine art landscape photography, or learning how to photograph shipwrecks and coastal scenes, this video will give you a real insight into my workflow and creative decision-making.
