Rarely Photographed Shipwreck - Scotland's Hidden Gem!

I had an incredible time at the rarely photographed shipwreck, Excelsior, near Rattray in Scotland. During a recent road trip to Scotland, I had the pleasure of photographing this incredible shipwreck. It's called the Norwegian Barque Excelsior. Don't worry, I had to look up the word "barque" too. FYI, it's a sailing ship, typically with three masts, in which the foremast and mainmast are square-rigged and the mizzenmast is rigged fore and aft. True to form, I captured a variety of photographic styles ranging from high-speed shots to ethereal long exposures, including my favourite 2-minute exposures. It was impossible to resist! Incredible UK SHIPWRECK SS Kaffir

In this video, I photograph the best-looking ghost-like shipwreck in the UK. Agree or disagree? This video documents a recent trip to photograph a stunning shipwreck in Scotland, where I experimented with long exposure and seascape photography. I captured a variety of images, from high-speed shots to ethereal 2-minute-long exposures. The shipwreck is located north of Ayr harbour in Scotland. It's not a very commonly photographed shipwreck simply because of its remote location and the considerable effort required to find and access it. I was so impressed with the wreck that I decided to photograph it at sunset and the following morning. I think I did a fairly decent job, but I'm pretty sure you'll let me know if you feel otherwise :) So, is it the most ghost-like shipwreck in the UK? Roy has some choice words to say about my compositions while brandishing his new camera before we get chased away by midges. I offer to bring mum up a mountain for an overnight shoot in the elements with zero comforts and bizarrely she says "absolutely not". Amanda wisely decides to stay in the shack with the old folks. So off I go, alone and underprepared for a night of wild camping with no tent and no sleeping bag. Not even a space blanket. What I do have is my camera and my tripod as well as an assortment of unhealthy snacks and one wonderful book to read. As I begin my ascent up this steep mountain in Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands, I get the stink eye from the bighorn sheep roaming the peaks, they're wary of sweaty Yorkshiremen. My decision to gobble down a chicken korma before the hike haunts me as I gag for air while suffering curry belly. I Only Slept 4 Hours… But THIS Landscape Photography Shot Was Worth It

I've got a new gadget! Every landscape photographer needs one of these regardless of whether you've got a full blown camper rig or just a small car. Not only does all of my camera gear get a full charge but I'm able to cook a full English breakfast on the go! Let me take you on a landscape photography adventure to one of my favourite locations in Nova Scotia, the Five Islands in the Bay of Fundy. After a rough start, I finally find my mojo with some experimentation with extremely long exposures. Ever wondered what a 45-minute exposure looks like? Wonder no more as I explain my idea and then my thought process on this bizarre looking composition under the stars. It turned out way better than I expected.
